Chekhov City Day

At 9:00 in the Anno-Zachatyevsk, main temple of the Chekhov district, took place a festive liturgy which was fulfilled by Alexander Serbsky, the rural dean of the Chekhov deanery. Then actions took place on numerous grounds, generally in parks and squares, and, certainly, in the main one - the Soviet Square.

Organizers of festive event have prepared a very hard-driving program in which the large number of actors, artists, employees of housing and communal services, health care, education, city and regional administrations were involved. The main stage was installed in the Soviet Square and besides the habitual festive program here some retro cars were presented as well.

The retro car exhibition in Sovetskaya Square on the Chekhov City Day became some kind of challenge to the rain which started at the lunchtime. The Stalin and Khrushchyov era cars do not fear dirt – so a last summer rain was no problem at all.

Veteran Great Patriotic War "offroaders" and militia Moscvic from the Brezhnev's times, well-known Chaika used by Soviet period government members, classic Volga and one of the most compact cars in the history of native automotive industry – Chekhov city’s main square on the 59th City Day became not only the main scene of the event, but also out-doors museum. The score old cars in which and near which were photographed with pleasure holiday guests caused immense interest.

It couldn't be otherwise. After all veteran cars, a half of which are a century and more old, are witnesses and exhibits of the other century - close and already such far at the same time.

And in the OLYMPIC Sports Palace took place the main festive event where newborns, newlyweds, large families, honored workers of various spheres were celebrated and honored with regional and district awards.

Chekhov – Our Pride and Glory, Gala Concert continued the actions devoted to the City Day. More than 3500 Chekhov citizens and city visitors gathered for the celebration in the OLYMPIC Sports Palace. With cordial greetings has addressed the attendees Sergey Yudin, the Acting Head of the Chekhov municipal area.

- I congratulate you heartily on the City Day! Our soil experienced events which affected the march of history of Russia. Fight at Molody, Patriotic War of 1812, years of the Great Patriotic War. We remember heroism of our countrymen soldiers. I would like to name those people who loved our land and made much to make it more beautiful, and to make Chekhov citizens life more comfortable. They are Galiyev Radik Rutfulovich, Onishchenko Evgeny Stepanovich, Sinitsyn Nikolay Borisovich, Finikova Polina Sergeevna, Shevchenko Semyon Pavlovich, Simakov Valentin Petrovich, Moloshnikov Nikolay Viktorovich, Nedoseka Gennady Mikhaylovich, and Steperenkov Vladimir Yegorovich. All of them placed themself on our district’s record, – the district head noted.

Sergey Yudin presented high awards from the Moscow region Governor, the diploma and gratitude from the Head of the Chekhov municipal district to 27 inhabitants who made great contribution to social and economic development of the city and the district. On the Chekhov City Day for great contribution to social and economic development of the Chekhov municipal district the Honorary Title "Honorable Citizen of the Chekhov Municipal District” was presented by the Decision of Council of Deputies to Savin Anatoly Nikolaevich – former Head of the Chekhov district from 1985 to 2000.

For long-term fruitful work, major personal contribution to preservation of history of the Chekhov municipal district, patriotic education of younger generation and in connection with 85-year Anniversary, in the Book Pride and Glory in the nomination Ever in the Ranks was entered the name of Semenov Anatoly Petrovich.

For long-term fruitful work, major personal contribution to development of infrastructure of the Lyubuchany settlement Diploma and Lapel Badge in the nomination Labor Merit are presented to Shatukhin Yury Vasilyevich, the chief of the technological site No. 2 of SP ZhKH. Deputies of the Moscow Regional Duma Vyacheslav Krymov and Mikhail Leontyev joined congratulations, having noted that Chekhov citizens are distinguished by high spirituality, and the Chekhov district is well known far beyond.

Five city and district residents received Moscow Regional Duma Certificates of Honor from Vyacheslav Krymov's hands. To share pleasure and to celebrate the City Day have arrived twin cities representatives from Prshibram, Czechia; Kopyl, Byelorussia; Dubossary, Dnestr and Novogorod-Seversky, Ukraine. Greeting and congratulation address was made by the acting Head of Public Administration of the Dubossary district and the Dubossary city Eduard Kantselevich.

Congratulations and words of severance had delivered Alexander Serbsky, Rural Dean of the Chekhov deanery.

- For our life it is especially important to support and to love each other. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your ... people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven, - he quoted words of the sacred writing.

Alexander Serbsky presented Blessed Diplomas from the metropolitan Krutitsky and Kolomna Yuvenaliy to praiseworthy Chekhov citizens.

There is already a tradition to celebrate on the City Day the newlyweds and young families where new city residents were born. This day didn't become an exception. Three couples of newlyweds and two couples of happy young parents received flowers and gifts from the First Deputy Head of Chekhov municipal district administration Sergey Yudin.

Certainly, delivery of apartment keys became the most pleasant and long-awaited gift. Today this tradition also was carried on - seven large families became owners of new housing.

This was not the last gift. Sergey Yudin presented to the Territorial Disaster Medicine Center for effective cooperation and preservation of friendly and business relations a gift - certificate for a FORD TRANSIT reanimobile. The awards ceremony alternated performances of the best creative collectives of the Chekhov district. Performance of Sretensky Monastery Chorus and PESNYARY musical group became a fine musical gift for citizens.

Despite the rain, many locals "closed the ranks" on Sovetskaya Square in the evening to become witnesses of traditional fireworks. At 22:30 over the city emerged the first volleys of festive salute which was brighter and more spectacular than last year.
