VII Moscow CYCLING NIGHT-2013

This morning on the Moskva River bank in the KOLOMENSKOIE memorial estate came to the end the Seventh Moscow Cycling Night with Sergey Nikitin, the historian. Participants biked 27 kilometers on the southern districts of Moscow. All night long the live broadcast of grand round was conducted all over the country by Mayak radio station.

About 5000 persons took part in this grandiose cultural and educational bicycle initiative, age of participants - from 18 to 74 years. Representatives of bicycle communities from all over the world – from St. Petersburg to Khabarovsk, from Istanbul to New York, from Rome to London came together in Moscow. Despite a pouring rain all night long, Seventh Moscow Cycling Night became the largest in a Cycling Nights series - along with Petrograd Cycling Night 2012.

Among the issues raised by speakers on the Moscow Cycling Night 2013 – archeology and history of architecture (Dyakovo and Kolomenskoie), city activism in Moscow (on The Moscow Alps example), the future of industrial areas and dormitory suburbs (on the example of the Moscow Southern District), history of the Russian philanthropy (on the example of creation of Alekseev Psychiatric Hospital No. 1) and culturologic history of music (Vladimir Vysotsky, Mike Naumenko, LASKOVY MAI and the Soviet jazz).

Speakers at the 7th Moscow Cycling Night were:

• historian, Head of Moskultprog Group, Associate Professor of NIU VShE Sergey Nikitin;
• architectural photographer and professor of the British School of Design Yury Palmin;
• Head of Moscow Institute of History Archeology Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Leonid Belyaev;
• jazz organizer and collector Raphael Avakov;
• historian, Candidate of Historical Science Andrey Topychkanov (MGOMZ "Kolomenskoie");
• archeologist, Candidate of Historical Science Nicolay Krenke (Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences);
• psychiatrist, Andrey Shmilovich (ARIADNA'S THREAD Festival and Psychiatric Hospital No. 1).

The VII Moscow Cycling Night was devoted to the 120 anniversary of V. V. Mayakovsky birth, on the air sounded poet’s verses performed by the best Russian actors, among them - Daniil Spivakovsky, Oleg Basilashvili, Konstantin Khabensky. To the 7th Moscow Cycling Night the Melodiya firm released a new Mayakovski disk with the author's, classical and new recitation performed by actors especially for Cycling Night.

The raged elements in the form of an incessant "raining cats and dogs " couldn't prevent the event participants from enjoying the pleasure from bicycle race, and various equipment of world brands provided by AKSIOMA Independent Stage Company passed all tests of the nature.

We installed at the start and at the finish:

• Prolyte stage complexes with the arch type roofing;
• Light equipment;
• Sound equipment;
• Video equipment;
• Generators;
• And also especially for the event were designed and fabricated various stage sets.

The AKSIOMA Independent Stage Company executed full technical production and complex technical support of the event of The VII Moscow Architectural and Historical, Musical and Poetic Cycling Night - 2013 devoted to the 120 anniversary of V. V. Mayakovski birth which took place in Moscow on the night of July 21, 2013.
