Youth day in Solnechnogorsk

On July 29 2013 The District Youth Day was held in Solnechnogorsk.

Youth Day is a holiday dedicated to the builders of the future of Russia contributing to its development and prosperity. It is a Day of the young energetic and active people. In Solnechnogorsk, the youth day is rationally celebrated on the last Saturday of June, and each time it turns to a huge gathering of teenagers, young people, including those who stay young by spirit in spite of their old age.

Annually, managers of the Youth Day celebrations – Committee for Youth affairs, Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism of Solnecnogorsk municipal district under support of United Russia party – on the open concert stage of the City Recreation and Entertainment Park carry out a grandiose a few hours long concert program.

This year, the public holiday program includes - creative youth teams performances of the town and oblast, awarding ceremony of the best representatives of the youth for their active participation in the social life of the oblast, Russian Passport handing over.

Additionally, thematic grounds, various sports competitions, Solnechnogorje youth parade, youth subculture festival, "Auto-lady" contest and other activities are scheduled within the event program. There is also one of the Russian pop-stars appearance scheduled for the event, non-stop discotheque with the winners of the DJs district competition and what is more – the festive fireworks.

The holiday took place on June 29, 2013 on the territory of City Recreation and Entertainment Park under Municipal Culture Administration. The Youth Day activities started at 11.00 a.m. Opening ceremony took place at 15.00 p.m.

The program includes:

• 11.00 – children’s mini-football tournament (St. Metallurg);
• 11.00 – the start of the women-motoring fans competition Auto lady of Solnechnogorje 2013" (parking place on Lake Senesh quay );
• 12.00 – opening of sports programs and thematic platforms (St. Metallurg, hockey rink Vympel, city park area);
• 13.00 – educatees of youth clubs and creative unions performance (major stage);
• 14.00 – Solnechnogorje youth parade (the route Lake Senesh quay – city park – square in front of central stage);
• 15.00-20.00 – the holiday opening ceremony (honored guests speeches, active youth and Auto lady Solnechnogorje 2013 contest winners prize awarding, Russian passports handing over, initiation to volunteers, Solnechnogorje district creative teams concert show);
• 16.00 – youth subcultures festival we choose life! (skate-park);
• 17.00 – High heel race (square in front of the central stage);
• 20.00 – Russian pop-star performance (central stage);
• 21.00-22.50 – non-stop youth disco (central stage);
• 23.00 – holiday salute (city park).
